Please follow these guidelines to help ensure that all participants in a conference call have the best experience:
- Mute Your Phone - When you are not talking you must mute your phone. This is especially important when you are using any sort of speaker phone, when there is background noise, or when you are calling from a car.
- Only One Person Should Talk - This may seem obvious but when you are amongst a group in a conference room only one person should be speaking at a time. When multiple people speak is is extremely hard for the remote participants to hear. This is especially true with the special conference phones that have satellite (extended) microphones. These mics are very sensitive and pick the slightest sounds including whispers.
- Try not to make noises - Again, this may seem obvious but background noises make it very difficult for remote participants to hear. This includes paper shuffling and typing on a keyboard.
Thank you
